APRIL IN PARIS
As an interior designer, for me home is like a heartbeat. But, I often leave town – and ideally the country – for inspiration. Exploring new places and experiencing different cultures is creative oxygen. In my world, travel is a peak experience. My passport is very well stamped, but in life and design, I don’t do repeats. Life moves in one direction – forward – and I do too!
And then there’s Paris. Always the exception. I’ve visited Paris many times. For me, the city is always in flux. So, when wanderlust recently came knocking at our door, Paris was the perfect pindrop for my partner Jonathan and me. Our travel strategy was simple and perhaps a bit unorthodox. We threw the itinerary to the wind. We decided to immerse ourselves in the flow of the city for the week, to live like locals, to do the usual things in this most unusual place.
Paris is always an inspiration AND a moveable feast. We had a magical week in the City of Lights. Here’s a peek a some favorite moments:

Paris was amazing, and, frankly, so is Charlotte, North Carolina. I believe travel is a chance to experience the world through a new lens. We carry the experience, pleasure, insights and inspiration uncovered with new places and people into our daily lives ... and into our homes. Ultimately, my design philosophy is all about creating a beautiful life at home. Travel is an adventure. Coming home is an embrace. Thank you, Paris!
